Diamond Dot Painting

Diamond dot painting is a new trend that’s been going around. Or at least I hadn’t heard of it until a fellow blogger (@KissedDaisy from Fairy Kissed Daisy) mentioned it on twitter and shortly afterward my mother mentioned it in a phone call. At this point, I knew I had to give it a try. Diamond dot painting seemed like the perfect addition to my monthly learn something new feature. If you have ever done a paint by number and enjoyed it then you will like diamond dot painting. I happened to love doing paint by numbers as a teen. the fuzz monster desk organizer

I have figured out that my kids are more likely to keep organized if they have a cute way to do it. This started with our one of a kind coat-rack but now that they are getting older needs to be applied to their rooms as well. My kids bring home and require so many more supplies due to school and by the end of the year, these supplies get everywhere. Thankfully the DollarTree had me covered when I went in search of a solution. Cute and easy to make this desk organizer has been a big hit! Most noteworthy is that it can be madeRead More →

I started yoga as an experiment to see if it would improve my running. As I researched and learned more about the practice I was surprised to learn of all the benefits. I can’t yet accomplish the harder poses so here is a collection of 5 upper body yoga poses that even beginners with weak arms (like me!) can achieve. This post may contain affiliateRead More →

We in the western world have an addiction. No matter who we are or what we do, no matter how much we exercise or how much we eat, almost all of us are afflicted. That’s right, we’re all addicted to… Convenience. We live in an age where convenience is no longer regarded as a fun novelty or a useful helping hand. We treat it as if it were a fundamental human right. And why wouldn’t we? Convenience hasRead More →

Running with Asthma

I have struggled with exercise-induced asthma since I was a kid. It’s a condition that I have also passed on to my oldest child and its a problem that I wouldn’t wish on any parent. Unfortunately, approximately 24.6 million people in the United States alone suffer from Asthma. So, you might be asking yourself – if you’re Asthmatic…why on earth do you run?
