DollarTree Easter Crafts – Cute, Fun and Cheap!

Ester craft and treat ideas.

I absolutely love the DollarTree when it comes to seasonal and holiday crafting. Easter crafts are no exception to this! I was so torn this year about what I wanted to make that I probably wandered around the store for an hour. They just have so many great Easter items in stock this year! I know that I will be going back to fill up on Easter Basket supplies once I can sneak away from the kids.

I was compensated for this post. This post also contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links. All opinions on the store and products are completely my own.

For my DollarTree easter craft this year I finally decided on an Easter bunny vase. I don’t really have a lot of vases in my home but I love flowers so it seemed like a great time to start a collection.  Thankfully there are quite a few to pick from at the DollarTree and pairing them with some of their $1 Easter supplies, Florals, and Ribbons I was able to create a super cute Easter decoration without spending more than $10.

Products Used

  • An Assortment of Florals – I picked lilies and willows because they seem springlike to me. There are so many to choose from at the DollarTree that I am positive you will be able to find some that match your decor.
  • 2 Types of Ribbon – I picked up some lace embellished burlap and smaller sheer pink. Again there is a very large selection to choose from! The only recommendation I have is to pick at least one thicker wire-rimmed type and one thinner type.
  • I Pack large foam Easter Egg Picks
  • 1 Pack small foam Easter eggs
  • 1 Vase – Any vase will do! I picked up a frosted pink one to go with my Easter pastels but any vase will do! A vase with a slightly flared bottom will probably work slightly better.
  • 1 or 2 packs Easter Pompom Kits – I used two and mix and matched them. But one pack would probably work fine. My kids had a lot of fun making the extra critters when I was finished.
  • 1 bag Decorative Rocks/Glass beads

Other Equipment

  • Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks

Easter Craft Directions

Fold your wire-rimmed ribbon into a loop. The size of the loop will determine the size of your bow. Adjust the loop size to match your vase

Pinch the center of the loop together and tie it with a piece of your secondary ribbon. Leave enough secondary ribbon so that you will have some tails hanging down. Trim the tail ends.

Measure and cut a second section of your thicker ribbon so that it will wrap around the top of your vase. Try to get it as tight as possible. Secure to the vase with the hot glue gun.Use the hot glue gun to affix your bow to the wrap you just put on your vase.

Pick out the small foam eggs you want to use. I used three but if your vase is smaller you might want less. Bigger you might want more. Cut one side of the ribbon loop at the top so that the eggs will hang from a single string.

Adjust the string length so that your eggs hang at the height you want. Use the hot glue gun to affix them to your bow. Trim excess from the top.

Refer to the directions included in the pompom kit and create your pompom bunny. There were also chicks available if you prefer!

Use the hot glue gun to glue the pompom bunny to your bow. The bunny will hide all your previous steps … and look super cute! Fill the bottom of your vase with decorative rocks or glass beads. This will hide your floral stems from view. Cut and arrange your flowers as desired. Add the large Easter Egg Picks as desired. Put on display and enjoy!
