DIY Dollar Store Miniature Fairy Garden

Fairy gardens are a popular spring and summer project loved by both kids and adults! Since creating a large outdoor fairy garden last summer I have been planning a smaller indoor version. Today’s dollar store fairy garden project is the perfect addition to your summer themed decor. Of course, it would also look quite lovely on a porch or balcony too! To create this dollar store fairy garden I used cuttings from my older succulents. However, if you don’t have any and don’t want to purchase some, you can buy some fake ones at Dollar Tree! But Kristin! You have already done a Dollar Store craft post this month! I know..but it’s the month of Halloween! It’s my favorite holiday! One craft is not enough! You can probably expect more than one for Christmas too. Just think of it as a bit of extra fun. Plus, the Dollar Tree this year had so many great Halloween items that you’re all probably lucky I didn’t do an entire month of Halloween crafts. If it wasn’t for my self-imposed Dollar Store budget while shopping I probably would have. The entire house would end up a Halloween wonderland. For the sake of my husband’sRead More →

Wire wrapped Jewelry Tree

It’s recently come to my attention that I have too much jewelry and not enough places to put it. A real problem right? I thought about getting a Jewelry Box but that seemed dull and overdone. I wanted something different. While browsing Pinterest I noticed a few wire-wrapped trees. People were using them for decoration or as earring holders. It didn’t look too difficult. I figured I could easily make a Jewelry Tree of my own design and I wasn’t disappointed, turns out the Dollar Tree had everything I needed. I will admit, at first, my ‘tree’ wasn’t very impressive. It was gangly and kind ofRead More →

I have to say I love my trips to the Dollar Tree. All those supplies for such a cheap and affordable price just get’s my creative juices flowing. I absolutely love the DollarTree when it comes to seasonal and holiday crafting. Easter crafts are no exception to this! I was so torn this year about what I wanted to make that I probably wandered around the store for an hour. They just have so many great Easter items in stock this year! I know that I will be going back to fill up on Easter Basket supplies once I can sneak away from the kids. I was compensated for this post.
