three tier tray completed

I have been looking for a nice three tier stand for my table for a long time. I have always liked the way that they look and I love that they can be customized to match the seasons or holidays that might be coming up.  While I have found some nice pre-made ones in my travels they were always too expensive or just not quite what I was looking for. Clearly, it was time for a DIY project and what better place to get the supplies for it then your Local Dollar Tree? The Dollar Tree is my go-to spot for home decor on a budget.Read More →

the fuzz monster desk organizer

I have figured out that my kids are more likely to keep organized if they have a cute way to do it. This started with our one of a kind coat-rack but now that they are getting older needs to be applied to their rooms as well. My kids bring home and require so many more supplies due to school and by the end of the year, these supplies get everywhere. Thankfully the DollarTree had me covered when I went in search of a solution. Cute and easy to make this desk organizer has been a big hit! Most noteworthy is that it can be madeRead More →

4th of July Sand Art

With the 4th of July coming up I knew I wanted to do a fun little craft to celebrate. We don’t go all out for household decoration for these holidays the way we do for Christmas and Halloween but it’s nice to put a few small touches here and there. Of course, me being me, I turned to the Dollar Tree for inspiration and came up with this very easy, very cheap but very pretty 4th of July Sand Art vase and centerpiece. The Dollar Tree has been my go-to source for fun holiday decorations for a while now. With everything priced at a dollarRead More →

Wire wrapped Jewelry Tree

It’s recently come to my attention that I have too much jewelry and not enough places to put it. A real problem right? I thought about getting a Jewelry Box but that seemed dull and overdone. I wanted something different. While browsing Pinterest I noticed a few wire-wrapped trees. People were using them for decoration or as earring holders. It didn’t look too difficult. I figured I could easily make a Jewelry Tree of my own design and I wasn’t disappointed, turns out the Dollar Tree had everything I needed. I will admit, at first, my ‘tree’ wasn’t very impressive. It was gangly and kind ofRead More →

DIY dollar store spring wreath

I have always loved the wreaths I find in stores. The thought of having such a fun and seasonal decoration to greet visitors when they come to my house was endearing. Unfortunately, the price of these wreaths was not nearly so appealing. So, with some inspiration from a fellow blogger and a bit of research on Pinterest I set about to create a Dollar Store spring wreath as this months craft project. I think I am in love with this project. Not only because it makes my door so fun and colorful but because of the endless options there are in making it. Because ofRead More →

Ester craft and treat ideas.

I absolutely love the DollarTree when it comes to seasonal and holiday crafting. Easter crafts are no exception to this! I was so torn this year about what I wanted to make that I probably wandered around the store for an hour. They just have so many great Easter items in stock this year! I know that I will be going back to fill up on Easter Basket supplies once I can sneak away from the kids. I was compensated for this post. In our house, we don’t go all out for Valentine’s day but its still nice to have something cute for the table on that special night. These candle holders are the perfect finishing touch to a coffee table, end table or dinner table. Even better, they only cost me $6 from the Dollar Tree and can be put together using only the most basic of crafting tools. The glue gun!Read More →
